POTATO RICE


Serving : 3 people

INGREDIENTS
Basmati rice              - 300 grams
Cinnamon stick         - 2
Cloves                       - 4
Ginger garlic paste    - 1 tbsp  
Green chilli               - 1
Onion                        - 3 medium size (finely chopped)
Tomato                      - 1 (finely chopped)
Potato                        - 2 ( peeled and chopped)
Coriander leaves
Chilli powder            - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves  
Water
Oil
Salt

PROCEDURE
1.  Rinse basmati rice and soak in 1.5 cups water. After 30 minutes drain water from rice.
2.  Heat 4 tbsp of oil in pressure cooker. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, ginger garlic paste, few curry leaves, green chilli, onions until it turns golden color.
3.  Add tomatoes, potatoes, few coriander leaves, salt and chilli powder. Stir well.
4.  Add soaked rice and add water depending on quality of basmati rice (approximately 3/4 litre ). Stir well.
5.  Close the cooker with it’s lid and turn off the gas after 2 whistles or after 7 minutes.
6.  Once the pressure comes down automatically, open the lid and stir smoothly. Now it’s ready to serve and taste.
